Although there have been a total of eight weeks that the weekly Friday Fortnite celebrity tournament has been played, the Grand Final of the latest running on June 29th is being called the best so far.

The winners-take-all matchup featured some of the best Fortnite players in the world, as Twitch extraordinaire Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Cloud9 Fortnite pro Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser defeated the FaZe Clan pro duo of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore.

The matches were as intense as advertised, as Ninja and Hysteria had to win two matches in the Grand Final since they were coming from the Losers Bracket.

They managed to do just that, thanks to a masterclass and brilliant performance from the pair in the first match and a swift victory in the second.

Sometime after the match, Ninja posted a video on his Twitter page offering to winning the competition that had eluded him for the previous six weeks, and started it off by paying homage to their final opponents.

“First and foremost, great games to Cloak and Tfue, absolutely dominant freaks of nature. The games were incredible. Happy they got knocked out early in the last game to be completely honest.”

He also had strong compliments for his teammate Hysteria, who got to claim a Friday Fortnite championship in just his second week of competing.

“Hysteria, great job man, love you brother. So happy we got both our first wins, that was only your second week. So, pretty litty!”

He concluded the video by offering his own afterthoughts about the competition as a whole.

“Obviously GGs to everyone that we played. Some incredible, incredible matches that we overcame. Another huge shoutout to KEEMSTAR for hosting these, they’re absolutely incredible, they give so much entertainment. If you guys were watching, I really appreciate it.”
