Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has shaken the map up again, with a mix of new and old locations to visit. Here are some of the best landing spots in Fortnite right now for the best loot and rotation options.

The island went through a complete transformation when it flipped upside down at the beginning of Chapter 3, and there are even more changes taking place during Chapter 3 Season 3, especially with the new Vibin’ theme.

Most of the POIs and landmarks are the same, but there’s now a huge Reality Tree giving a lovely purple hue on certain areas of the map. It’s also spreading its roots across the Island, so expect more changes as the season progresses.

With all these map changes, players will need to spend time figuring out which location is the best landing spot in the game. To help, we’ve put together six of the best places to land when you leave the Battle Bus in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3

1. Rave Cave

The big new addition in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is Rave Cave. Now that the battle between The Seven and the Imagined Order is over, the former Command Cavern hideout has been turned into the number one party destination with Ballers, music,  and a huge rollercoaster.

It’s not just fun you’ll have here, though, as this is also currently the most loot-heavy location on the map with 59 Chests hidden around the Rave Cave. There are loads of high-up vantage points to snipe opponents from a distance, while those Ballers we mentioned are a great getaway vehicle. The sheer amount of loot available to find here easily makes it one of the best landing spots currently in Fortnite.

2. The Daily Bugle

Of all the POIs on the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 map, The Daily Bugle is one of the best ones to land at first, with a whopping 46 Chests to be discovered inside its walls and plenty of bouncy webs and ziplines aplenty to break your fall once you reach the top.

Even better, now that this POI has been around for a few seasons – and Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters have been vaulted – it’s not quite as popular as it once was, which means it’s far less risky to land here and you’ll have less competition for the best weapons.

3. Chonker’s Speedway

One of the coolest POIs on the Fortnite Chapter 3 map is Chonker’s Speedway, which is essentially a giant racing track surrounded by buildings ripe for looting. There are 40 regular Chests in the immediate vicinity and a Seven Outpost containing three high-tier Supply Chests located down the road.

This is also a great place to land if you’re looking to have fun, as a set of sports cars with off-road tires will spawn here at the start of every match. This makes the landing spot one of the best for traversing Fortnite’s difficult terrains – or simply racing around the dirt track with your mates (and running over your opponents, obviously).

4. Sleepy Sound

Residential locations like Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake were some of the most popular locations throughout Fortnite Chapter 2, but with the new map scrapping them all, players will want to head to Sleepy Sound, a waterside town filled with rows of houses to loot in quick succession.

It’s also one of the most unique locations on the Chapter 3 map, as you’ll get the best of both worlds when it comes to transport: Loads of vehicles and a gas station for land travel, and plenty of boats and open waters for a quick ocean getaway when you need it most.

5. Shifty Shafts

Shifty Shafts has finally returned to the Fortnite map! This Chapter 1 fan-favorite may not be the most loot-heavy POI to land at, but it’s the perfect location for those who prefer to play stealthily and wrack up XP from eliminations in the busy early game thanks to its sprawling, maze-like underground tunnels.

It’s also a great location to farm all three materials for building, there are plenty of animal spawns nearby if you need them for a challenge, and there are just enough Chests hidden around the mines to give you a solid start in any match. We’d recommend this landing spot for experienced players only.

6. Pawntoon (Loot Boat)

One of the most exciting Fortnite landmarks to return in Chapter 3 is the Pawntoon, otherwise known as the ‘Loot Boat’. This elusive boat, which looks like a small pirate ship, contains Supply Chests with loads of high-tier weapons and healing items, making it a great (and quiet) place to start a match. It’s one of the best landing spots to find rare weapons in Fortnite.

The catch? It’s always on the move, so the chances of finding it are very slim. The only real advice we can give is that the loot boat never appears on lakes or rivers inside the Island, so your best option is to land near the coastline and hope that you spot it in the distance.
