NICKMERCS Explains Why He’d Never Return to Call of Duty

Popular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff explained why he will not be returning to Call of Duty following the success of Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Since its release in 2017, it is hard to argue against the claim that Fortnite: Battle Royale is one of the most popular titles in the world at the time of writing with an immense amount of fan-fare.

Millions of players attempt to obtain the elusive ‘Victory Royale’ on a daily basis, and it seems as if Fortnite is only continuing to grow as the days go on, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Its notoriety has even been a factor in players from other titles migrating over to Fortnite, based on potential opportunities down the road.

One such player is NICKMERCS, who gained notoriety in recent years for his ‘Call of Duty’ streams with his ‘MFAM’ group for wager matches and tournaments, and gained a substantial following alongside the title.

However, when asked if he will return to CoD, the streamer noted how he will be pursuing Fortnite for the time being, based on its opportunities and ‘competitive future.’Y

“You guys are all crazy to even talk to me about Call of Duty, I ain’t never going back. You’re talking about a shooter I played because it was the only one that had a competitive future, at the time, on console. Fortnite just announce one hundred million dollars in tournaments for the next year alone.”
